Book a call

TL;DR: Book a call and you spend thirty minutes with the architect who runs the work, not a salesperson. The call costs $250, is credited to the first milestone if you go ahead, and you leave with a written summary within one business day.

What this includes

Most first conversations in this trade are worth thirty minutes, not an hour of discovery. What is rare is knowing, before you dial, who will be on the other end, what the half hour is for, and what you keep once it is over. This page answers those three questions, and the prices further down are the prices the work actually starts at, not a range invented to get you on the phone.

Thirty minutes with Michael Agnassia, who writes the plan for the work and reads the code before it ships
A price range and a realistic timeline for your case, taken from the figures published on this site
A written summary within one business day, so the conclusion does not live inside a call recording
An honest answer on fit, including when the work belongs with someone else
The $250 credited against the first milestone if you go ahead
The list of what to bring, sent when you book, so the thirty minutes go to answers rather than to catching up

The call is shaped by the attention a person really has for a supplier, which is why it runs thirty minutes and not an hour: it respects the attention limits a thirty-minute call is built around. Everything that does not fit inside the half hour is written down and sent afterwards, in the summary.

What the call is not: a presentation of our services, a slide deck read out loud, or a negotiation about a price that was hidden until then. The price of every phase is published on this site, so nothing about the figures needs thirty minutes of theatre. The half hour is for your situation, and the honest version of it.

Booking itself takes one screen, on a phone or a laptop, with a single action per step and buttons big enough for a thumb, the size what a button has to measure to be usable with a thumb describes. You choose a slot, answer three short questions, and you are done. No form that asks for a budget range before it tells you anything: the case for asking one thing at a time on a booking screen is the rule the booking follows.

Most of the owners who book are the ones who would sign: the person who owns the shop, runs the firm, or answers for the numbers. Where a second person joins, the two of you hear the same answers at the same time, in English or in Spanish, which is how the studio works every day.

If what you need first is a written measurement of the site you run today rather than a conversation, that exists as a separate start: what a week of measuring your own site returns, with a verdict at the end of it, and it does not need a call at all.

How it works

You book, and you send three things. The tools your business runs on today, the constraint that is costing you money, and one number you would like to move.
We read them before the call. This is the reason the first ten minutes are not introductions. We arrive with the questions written down, the first version of an answer, and the two or three things that usually turn out to be the real constraint behind the one you named.
The call, thirty minutes. Four things, in this order: what we understood of your situation, the options we see, what each option would cost, and our recommendation. You interrupt whenever something does not match how the business actually runs, and the interruption is usually where the useful part starts.
The written summary, within one business day. What we heard, what we would do first, what it costs, what we would deliberately not do, and the two or three changes you could make without hiring anyone. It is yours whether or not we work together, and it is written to be forwarded to whoever else decides.
You decide. Start with Discovery at $2,500 for one week, or take the summary and stop there. Both are clean outcomes, and stopping is common.
If it is not a fit. You keep the summary and the recommendation, and we tell you which kind of supplier fits better, including when the honest answer is that nobody should be hired yet.
If you go ahead. The scoping quote you receive after the call fixes the perimeter, the price and the timeline in writing. the five phases, with the price of each printed next to it is the order the work then follows.

Two questions we ask on every call, and you can prepare both in a minute. Which part of the business loses money while nothing looks broken, and what would have to be true in six months for this project to have been worth doing. An owner who answers those two with a number is ready to start, and one who cannot yet answer them has just learned what the Discovery week is for.

What it costs

Prices below are where each phase starts; your scoped quote fixes the exact perimeter, the price and the timeline.

The thirty-minute call: $250, credited against the first milestone if you go ahead.
Discovery: $2,500 for one week, with a written verdict on what your site costs you today, and a scope you own.
Architecture: $2,500 for one week, credited against the Build.
Build: from $5,000, over two to ten weeks depending on what the site has to do.
Care: from $1,500 a month after launch, with thirty days notice either side.

A consultation offered at no charge is not free: it is priced into the work that follows, which means the advice given during it is the advice that ends in a signed project. Here the call is a line item with a number attached. The $250 pays for the thirty minutes and for the summary, it is credited against the first milestone if you go ahead, and it stays with us only if the summary was the end of the road. Phases are billed one at a time, so nothing is owed for a phase that has not started, and the questions owners ask before they sign a scope covers what each phase includes and what it leaves out.

Proof

Food By Box sells 2,500 products from a storefront we rebuilt around its catalogue. Google's speed score reached 95, and monthly visits moved from 20,000 to 500,000 over 24 months, with every address that carried traffic listed before the switch and still working after it. the rebuild in full, with the numbers it moved lists the phases, what each one cost and what it changed.

On an independent artist's shop in Florida, the same shop loaded in a little over one second on a phone, down from 4.8 seconds, and nothing it ranked for was lost in the move. That shop had the opposite problem to a food retailer: few products, heavy images, and an owner who had lost control of the site that sold them.

A week of measurement and a written scope preceded both projects, and that week is the same one that can follow a call like this. The conversation is short and the summary is short; the work that comes after is where the figures above were produced, over 24 months of measured months rather than one good launch. You read those counts in a reporting account you own, in the same place we do, so nobody has to take our word for what moved.

A promised position in Google, or a promised sales figure, is not a measurement, and no supplier who has done the work puts one in writing. What we put down instead is arithmetic you can check in a reporting account you own: the enquiries that reached the inbox, the orders that completed, and the month each one moved.

Questions

What happens after we book the call?

You receive a confirmation with the time, a short list of what to bring, and the questions we will ask. You send what you have, we read it before the call, and the written summary follows within one business day.

Who is on the call, and who would run the work?

Michael Agnassia, who writes the plan and reads the code before it ships, with fifteen years of ecommerce work behind him. No account manager and nobody reading from a script: who sits on the call is the person whose name would be on the plan.

What should we prepare for a web design consultation Miami call?

Three things are enough: the tools your business runs on today, the constraint that costs you money, and one number you want to move. If you have them, bring the last three months of visitors and orders. If you do not, the call still works.

What does the call cost, and what happens to the $250?

The call is $250. It is credited against the first milestone if you go ahead, and it stays with us if you do not, because the thirty minutes and the summary have been delivered by then.

Can we book a call and start with Discovery straight away?

Yes. The call is not a prerequisite for the work; it is a way to decide whether the work is worth doing. If you would rather go straight to Discovery at $2,500 for one week, say so when you book and we will scope that instead.

Can we meet in person instead of on a call?

Yes. The studio is at 78 SW 7th Street in Brickell, we work US Eastern hours, and we work in English and Spanish. Local kickoffs and plan reviews happen in person; owners outside South Florida get the same thirty minutes and the same written summary online.

What if we are not a fit?

You keep the summary and the recommendation, and we tell you which kind of supplier fits better, including when the answer is that nobody should be hired yet.

How soon can Discovery start?

Usually the following Monday, because it is a fixed one-week engagement with a written verdict at the end of it. The Build then runs two to ten weeks depending on scope, and Care starts after launch at $1,500 a month.
