Shopify to WooCommerce migration in Miami

A Shopify to WooCommerce migration in Miami keeps every address that already brings you buyers, runs both shops at once until the order totals agree, and moves the switch into a week you choose rather than into the season. Planning it takes one week at $2,500; the move itself starts at $8,000.

What this includes
- A written verdict on moving or staying, and what stays untouched on either road
- Your address list: every address that brings buyers today, matched to the address that replaces it, checked twice before the switch
- Products, customer accounts, past orders, subscriptions and gift cards copied across, then counted against the old shop
- Both shops running at once in front of real buyers, so the decision rests on your orders and not on a demonstration
- A switch day you choose, after the season rather than inside it
- A written way back: the exact sign that sends us to the old shop, agreed in advance and kept live for 30 days
- Daily checks on the addresses that carry the most buyers for the first 30 days after the switch
Moving a shop is not a re-design. Your pages, your product names and the prices your buyers already know stay as they are. What changes is the ground the shop stands on, who holds the invoice at the end of the month, and what you are allowed to change afterwards without asking permission.
That last part is what most owners are actually buying. On a rented shop, a new checkout rule is a request. On a shop you own, it is a piece of work with a price and a date.
The plan is written before anyone touches the live shop. It lists what moves, what does not, the order of the work, the week of the switch and one price per stage. If the plan says staying is cheaper, that is what it says, and you keep the document either way.
How it works
- Scoping week, $2,500, one week. We walk your shop the way a buyer does, order by order, and write down what the current platform costs you in workarounds, fees and slow pages. We also count what lives outside the platform: the extensions holding your stock rules, your shipping rates and your loyalty points. Those are the parts that decide how long a move takes, and they are the parts a checkout-only estimate always misses.
- The plan, that same week. What moves, what stays, the order of the work, the switch window and one price per stage. The stages are the five the studio publishes, and the five phases and their published prices are on the process page with their durations, so nothing about the sequence is a surprise.
- The move, from $8,000, two to ten weeks depending on scope. Catalogue, customer accounts, past orders, subscriptions and gift cards are copied to a test shop that looks exactly like the live one. Every order total is checked against the old shop, line by line, before a buyer sees the new one. Two to ten weeks is not a range we picked to sound careful: a shop with 2,500 products and no subscriptions sits at the short end, a shop selling in several currencies with stock rules of its own sits at the long end.
- The preparation, one to two weeks. Both shops take real orders side by side. We compare the same basket on both: same total, same tax line, same cheapest shipping option, same discount code your staff use every day. This is also the week to read what WooCommerce's own team writes about the move, because their guide is written for a shop doing the work alone, and it shows you what the work looks like without a plan.
- Switch day, about a week, included. Stock movements are frozen, the old shop is kept read-only as the way back, every address is pointed at its match in the way Google sets out for a site that moves, and the old addresses are handed over rather than left to expire. The way back stays armed for 30 days, then it is retired in writing.
- Care after the switch, from $1,500 a month. Daily checks on the addresses that carry the most buyers for 30 days, an order-by-order review of the first week, then a written summary of what was found and what was fixed.
A migration is a sequence of small verifications, not one big leap. The switch itself is the shortest part of the work on purpose: everything that can be checked is checked while both shops are still open.

What it costs
The amounts below are the floor for each phase. What fixes your scope, your price and your dates is the scoped quote, and you see that quote before any work begins.
The scoping week is $2,500 and the document is yours either way. Architecture is $2,500 and is credited against the build. The move starts at $8,000 and is invoiced stage by stage, each payment following work that is already finished and already in front of you. QA and launch are included. Care starts at $1,500 a month with 30 days notice.
Two things are not on that list because we do not charge them. There is no cut of what your shop sells, at any point, and there is no maintenance fee on the shop once it is yours. If the scoped quote comes in above what the move is worth to you, you stop after the plan and keep the document.
Publishing the numbers changes the conversation. You can compare this page with the quote in front of you and see whether the difference is scope or margin, and you can price a move before you commit to one. The structure of a move budget, stage by stage, is written out in a move costed line by line for anyone who wants the detail before the first call.
Proof
A shop with 2,500 products that had outgrown the platform behind it is the case we quote most often: Food By Box. Google now measures its desktop speed at 95, and the monthly visits it earns have gone from 20,000 to 500,000 across 24 months. Nothing that used to bring buyers in stopped bringing them in.

Tatiana Miath's storefront tells the same story on a smaller catalogue: pages that took just under five seconds to appear on a phone now appear in just over one second, and her search positions came through the move unchanged. Speed here is not our opinion of the site: it is how speed is measured on a phone, under the same conditions for both versions, before and after.
Not losing an address is the whole job. A move that gains a faster shop and drops the addresses carrying its trade has swapped a running business for a nicer one. Both projects above are on the measured numbers from those projects, with the figures as published, including the ones that were inconvenient.
The plan is written by Michael Agnassia, who has spent 15 years in ecommerce, and he reads the work before it goes out. Our studio sits at 78 SW 7th Street in Brickell; we work on site with shops across South Florida, in English and Spanish.
Questions
Will a Shopify to WooCommerce migration cost us the traffic we already have?
That is the part planned first and checked last. Every address that brings buyers gets its match on the new shop, the list is checked twice, and the change is announced to Google on the day of the switch. Google's guide to moving a shop to new addresses is the reference we work to, and it is the same document your own marketing person will ask about.
How long is the shop offline on switch day?
Normally under an hour, and the switch is done in the quietest part of your week. Stock movements are frozen first, the new shop has been taking real orders for weeks by then, and pointing the addresses across is a short, reversible step rather than a rebuild.
What happens to our past orders, customer accounts and gift cards?
They move with the shop, and they are counted rather than assumed: the same number of orders, the same customer accounts, the same balances and the same expiry dates on the other side. Customers keep their password reset path and their order history, which is the part most migrations quietly lose. The awkward cases are the rules living in extensions rather than in the platform, and the scoping week is where we find them.
Does a Miami ecommerce migration mean we stop selling?
No, and we insist on the opposite. Your old shop stays live and open until the day you choose. The new one takes real orders beside it, which is how a checkout is actually tested. A shop that has never processed a real order is a shop nobody has tested.
When is the right week to switch a shop in Miami?
After the season, not during it. South Florida trade peaks from November through April and again around the holidays, so we plan the switch between May and October, on a week with no promotion ending and no stocktake. A switch week that overlaps with your busiest trade is a risk you take for no gain, and the calendar is part of the plan we write in the scoping week.

Can we migrate Shopify to WooCommerce ourselves?
You can, and the guides are good enough to try it. What they tend not to cover is the part that costs money: the addresses that quietly disappear, the customer accounts that arrive without their history, and the two shops that were never compared on the same basket. Doing it yourself is a fair decision. Doing it without an address list is the decision that hurts.
Are ecommerce replatforming services the same as a migration?
The words cover the same ground, and the difference is where the work starts. A migration begins with a list of what you have and what it earns you, if it starts well. An ecommerce replatforming services scope that begins with a platform instead of a shop tends to move the same problems onto new ground. Our scoping week exists to make that call before any money is spent on a build.
We are not sure WooCommerce is where we should land. Then the destination is the open question, not the move. choosing where the shop lands is a week of work in its own right, and it can be the whole of the engagement if that is what your case needs. A move is only worth planning once the destination earns its place.
Has this studio actually run a Shopify move before?
Yes, and the same switch written up at length covers a live shop leaving a rented platform, including what was found in the first week after the switch.
