The problem
An independent artist in Florida lost access to a WordPress site that had become slow, heavy and impossible to control. Serving high-resolution artwork without paying for weight was the core constraint.
What we built
Full migration to a static Astro storefront with a self-hosted Medusa shop. Images run through an AVIF pipeline, the digital catalogue is delivered through signed HMAC-SHA256 links rather than a file server, and every product edit happens in an interface the artist controls.
